About the Civic Center
The Crockett Civic Center construction began in 1987. Through the efforts of the Piney Woods Fine Arts Association, the Civic Center has become an attractive venue equipped with seating, stage, and lighting to accommodate musical and theatrical performances throughout the year.
With a large exhibit/conference hall and additional meeting rooms, the Civic Center is also able to hold various conferences, exhibits, and meetings. The offices of the Crockett Economic & Industrial Development Corporation and the Crockett Area Chamber of Commerce are also located in the Civic Center.
Adjacent to the Civic Center is the Porth Ag Arena. The arena holds an annual PRCA Rodeo sponsored by the Crockett Lions Club and also the annual Houston County Fair & Livestock Show. There are also many other livestock, rodeo, and barrel racing events throughout the year.
